Introducing Gallery Artist - Joanne O’Bryan

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joanne has been drawing for as long as she can remember. She was influenced early on when her mother, a violinist, took her to art museums.  She studied art at the University of Utah, Salt Lake, received a B.S. in art at the Univ. of Wisconsin and has a Masters’ Degree in Art Therapy from Leslie University.  Joanne generally paints with acrylics.

2023-2024 General Meetings

In-Person Monthly Guild Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at the Yarmouth Town Hall (1146 Main St./Rt 28 Yarmouth MA, excluding the summer months of June, July, and August.  Members will receive a monthly email about alternatives to in-person meetings

Wednesday September 6th 2023 – YAG General Meeting
Please join us for our first In-Person Meeting at the Yarmouth Town Hall from 10 am to 12 pm.  
Members are encouraged to invite guests for a $5
guest fee to be applied to a future membership fee.

Community Instructional Art Classes – 
Giving Back to the Community

YAG artists will have an opportunity this fall to inspire new artists of all ages by offering classes with a focus on beginner painting techniques in a variety of mediums.  We are looking for member artists to share their passions and expertise and teach an introductory class in any medium.  If you are interested and would like more information, please contact Charlotte Simpson at charlottesimpson@comcast.net.

Thanks to Cis Poremba’s organization & member participation and efforts, YAG had a successful exhibit and reception.  Artist member Jay Pacunas sold her watercolor painting titled “To My Beach”.

Gibson’s Sotheby’s International  Realty
September and October Exhibit and Reception


YAG artist members will be displaying artwork at the Sotheby’s Realty Office at 6 Route 6A in Orleans. Sotheby’s and the Yarmouth Art Guild Artists will hold a Reception with refreshments and music on September 7th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Dennis Public Library Exhibit and Reception

 

Ten YAG artist members will be displaying artwork at the Dennis Public Library 5 Hall Street Dennis Port from August 1st to August 31st.  The D.P.L. Library and Yarmouth Art Guildwill hold a Reception for all members and the public on August 3rd from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Benefits of Yarmouth Art Guild Membership

•    Exclusive solo art displays for a month at the indoor venues of South Yarmouth Public Library and Yarmouth Town Hall (very high traffic areas) and Cape Media Center (when available).  Every member is eligible to have their artwork exhibited at these two locations and we are always looking for more sites and member participation.
•    Participation in Group Art Shows at the Cape Cod Cultural Center, Brewster Ladies Library, Dennis Public Library, Gibson Sotheby’s Realty Office, and other locations, as we can arrange.  The yearly exhibition at the Cape Cod Cultural Center in November is the only show requiring an entry fee.
•    Admission to our monthly General Meetings including a monthly artist demonstration.
•    Artist Showcase Presenter. Opportunity to introduce yourself and your art at one of our monthly General Meetings.

•    Art Gallery on the YAG Website.  For an additional $35, showcase your work on the  YAG website on your personal page, a potential sale location.  The fee covers adding your photos of artwork available for purchase and any maintenance of your personal display page, such as adding new works or removing works that have sold.
•    Yarmouth Art Guild Newsletter, The Paintbox.emailed monthly to your inbox.
