Before coming to Cape Cod, Rory Marcus honed her skills for telling visual stories during her successful career as a screenwriter and TV producer in New York and Los Angeles. But she always held the desire that one day, like her father, she would begin to paint. Thrilled to make the Cape her home, she used her skills to promote its rich art history and distinctive artists through museums, galleries and articles.
She was fortunate to learn to paint from talented Cape artists and has exhibited her work throughout the Cape for many years With striking colors and expressive brushwork, Rory strives to express the wonder she feels: “I’m in awe of nature’s beauty, humbled by its power, always seeking to understand its mysteries and live with it in harmony.” During the pandemic she created the series “Journey to the Unknown,” - imagining lands to be discovered.
