“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” - Pablo Picasso
My love for art and painting began during my college years while visiting the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Gardner Museum. With no formal background or training, I became a “Pandemic Watercolorist” and I now am pursuing my love of painting en plein air and in my home studio. I find the process of painting to be both therapeutic and exhilarating!
I first began trying watercolor paint while joining Cape tourists to paint with Artist, Patricia Campbell at a Tobey Farm Watercolor workshop and also by studying with Blacksheep Studio Artist, Corinne Lilie in a few Dennis-Yarmouth Adult Education watercolor courses Pre-Pandemic. Then I began to dedicate myself to painting regularly during the shelter-at-home Pandemic years, while watching online tutorials.
My artwork includes seascapes, landscapes, semi-abstracts, florals, and birds – mostly watercolors and some mixed-media. I have been inspired by many of the renowned Impressionist Masters and by contemporary artists including Ron Ranson, Anna Mason, Steven Cronin, Lois Davidson, and Andrew Geeson. I am honored to share my work and passion for painting with you.
